Gaaah

Modern technology will be the death of me. When I'm not stressing out
because I'm spending way to much time I'm front of computer I'm
stressing out because I need technology and it just isn't working,
like for example right now where iseriously need to do my laundry but
OH NO I CANT DO THAT! The reason being that I live in a high-tech form
where my RFID key is also my washing card, so when it decides not to
work I can't do my laundry, so now I'll have to wait until Monday when
the administration opens up again! Gaah!

Testing mobile blogging

I just realized that blogger has an email mobile blog option that I've
had turned on for ages but just never used. So much for trying to blog
from Vienna airport and failing when I could have just sent an email :)

How to live in a pigsty and get away with it!

Well as I wrote just a moment ago I’m gonna be heading off to Sydney in just 96 hours… In the meantime I have quite a few things to catch up on. Like finishing off some work, doing laundry so I’ll have some clean clothes to bring, packing a bag… and of course my thesis!

So what happens when I get busy like that… well have a look at these photos and you’ll know!

As you can see it’s not very pretty. So another thing I ought to do is clean my room… especially since Minsi will come home with me when I’ve been to Sydney. So having a clean room would be preferable… Only problem is… what the heck to do with all this crap I’ve got lying around?

I’ve started selling a few things online. To my surprise most of what is taking up space in my room are actually things I never use, so I thought other people might as well get a fair use out of it. Unfortunately the things I most wanna get rid off I still haven’t taken the time to put up for auction.

I basically have A LOT of old Anders And & Co. (the Danish version of the Mickey Mouse cartoon magazine). But before I can sell them I need to put them in order and see what issues are missing. It seems like it’ll be a lot of work, and I have a lot of other stuff I’ve been trying to get done before that. So if anyone out there is interested in old cartoon magazines in Danish please let me know as it would be quite a lot easier.

I did however manage to sell my old Macintosh Color Classic and some other smaller items. Problem is they aren’t the ones taking up all the space (well except for the Mac).

As sad as it might sound I think I’ll celebrate handing in my thesis with a big round of throwing out stuff/cleaning/selling stuff. Yepee! So if you’re looking for something you can’t find anywhere else, ask me! I might have it lying around and willig to sell :)

(Edit) If anyone want to see what I’m currently selling have a look here: http://auktioner.qxl.dk/JensenE
P.S. I won’t be selling anything new before I get back from Sydney (that’s 26September)

Random thought

Some of you might already know my friend Søren’s blog as I’ve posted links to it before (if I haven’t the title of this post is a link to it). I used to have a small competition running with him (he’d probably tell you it wasn’t small… but he’s lying :P ) about who had the most posts. The idea was that the posts still had to be meaningful and be something you would have posted even if we weren’t running a competition. As some of you might have guessed I’ve been losing this competition lately as I basically only blog once a month if even! I could come with all sorts of excuses about how I’ve been busy and stuff but I would just be pulling your leg. Truth is I haven’t felt like blogging… plenty of things have been happening but for some reason I’ve started feeling more like a private person. It’s odd though, it’s not like I’m pouring out my heart here anyway.

But anyway I’m ranting. Point is that after realizing that my lovely girlfriend occasionally reads my blog I’ve regained the lust for posting more often!

And taking into consideration that I’ll soon be done with uni, I should (even though I know it’s probably not gonna be true) start having more free time.

So Søren this post goes out to you… consider yourself warned… the competition is back on!

Oh yeah… I forgot to tell you!

Two interesting turn of events…

On wednesday I’m flying to Sydney – again – to see Minsi and finish my thesis. About the thesis… I’m working hard on it, and it’s actually coming along now, though there’s still a lot to be done before it’s finished enough to hand in… but I’ll make it… I’ll have to make it :D

Second thing! I’ve been offered a temp job. Well actually I’ve already taken it. I’m starting beginning of October as soon as I’ve handed in my thesis. It’s a very short term employment though, but quite interesting and in a way right up my alley as it’s as a project manager on a new IT based evaluation tool at CBS. Should turn out quite interesting. Only sad part is that it’s only for 4-6 months… and most likely only 4. But whatever! It seems interesting, it’s good experience and the pay’s pretty decent as well… especially for a first job.

Just thought I’d let everyone know… not that I think you care though ;)

I lov eyou Minsi

I’m really starting to appreciate that I have a girlfriend who knows about Japanese pop-culture. She was able to point out that I was thinking about Crystal Kay…

So there you have it. Right now I’m trying to find out if she’s actually any good :D

Annoyances over J-pop

After returning from Japan I’m suffering from the same tendencies as I did when returning from both France and America. I find myself obsessing over that particular country’s pop culture.

With Japan it’s especially their j-pop, which is basically their bubblegum-pop. Unfortunately I haven’t really been able to identify any of the stuff I felt like I heard all the time when walking around Shibuya and Harajuku. And there’s especially one artist I’m looking for. It’s a female artist who’s half Okinawan and half American (A halfie) who’s got this odd name that I can’t remember. I only recall that her artist name was a first and last name, with the first name being something that could be both Japanese and english and the last name being something along the lines of Silver, Jewel, Star or the like… but I can’t recall it at all and it annoys me more than it ought!

So in cases like this what do you do? Do you just forget about it, try like crazy to remember or something completely different!?!

Also I miss purikura machines. Right now I was wondering whether to set up shop somewhere and import one or two purikura machines to Copenhagen… not that I have the funds for it, but it would be fun. Just wondering whether there would be a crowd for such a thing?

Oh well… guess I should really be going to bed instead.
