Exploring
Today I finally got a bit of adventure when I went with a friend for a walk.
We didn't have anywhere in particular to go so we just followed the river along where we live. That wasn't anywhere new to me, so we decided to just take a turn somewhere and ended up in a very deserted area without any signs of people except for lights in the houses we passed. It was after dark and we ended atop a hill so we had a marvelous view of the surrounding area, which was very pretty with lighted buildings as far as the eye could see.
What really seemed adventurous to me though was the "climb" down from the hill top. We followed the road but it soon turned into a dirt road with no streetlights or any other artificial lighting so we had a hard time seeing were we were going. To make thing better one side was another hill with a dark forrest there and the other side was what looked like a deserted factory. It all had a sort of spooky feel to it, especially because there were leaves all over the place so we could hear them flying around as well as the wind in the trees.
So maybe it wasn't the great adventure I was hoping for seeing as there were no golden idols, ark of the covenant or similar at the end of the trail... but I figure it's the closest I'll get anytime soon :D
