Messing with the timeline

So here comes a post that is totally going to mess up any sort of continuum in my posts.

The other day (meaning tuesday the 18th) I went with a dutch girl to TOKYO harbor, or rather an island in Tokyo harbor.

The island is called odaiba and is reclaimed land. It houses many shopping malls and hotels as well as a beach. The island is very distinct from the rest of Tokyo by having a more planned feel to it and being more spacious than anywhere else I've seen here so far. It has a mild resemblance to La Defense right outside Paris (to anyone who's been).

We walked around the island for a couple of hours taking pictures.

This obviously reminded me of the Simpsons.

This is the Rainbow bridge leading to Tokyo mainland. In between the two pillars you can just make out the Tokyo tower, which almost looks like the Eiffel tower in Paris (except this one is taller, and red and white).

Japan really do have everything... even down to their own statue of liberty, which was a gift from France (originally built by none other than monsieur Eiffel).

A huge ferris wheel... also in red and white.

A patch of green in an urban jungle.

This amazing sky doesn't look as amazing in the picture, but it looked very wild in a gloomy sort of way.

Supposedly the Japanese love fairy tale weddings, so what better way to do it, than a French village in the middle of town!

The adjoining village church.

Tokyo Big Sight, a conference center.

Me on the way up big sight.

This rather interesting elevator panel revealed the wiring inside.

Okay so this is one of those things where I went "What!?!". I guess it is just a piece of art. Beats me though!
