Esben, the Disneyland nerd
So today I did something I've been waiting a long time to do... I visited Tokyo Disney Resort, or rather Tokyo Disney Sea.
For those who don't know Tokyo Disney Sea, it's a second park next to Tokyo Disneyland. The theme of the park is... the sea.
There are 7 lands, which are:
- Mediterranean harbor
- American waterfront
- Port discovery
- Lost river delta
- Arabian coast
- Mysterious island
- Mermaid lagoon
This park really shows of Walt Disney Imagineering from it's best side. There are so many small but fabulous details throughout the park.
Some attractions have been reused from other parks around the world, but as a die hard fan I must say that this is the best way I've seen them matched to each other yet!
Of course I took a lot of pictures, but instead of filling this post with them I've decided to just show you my two favorite shots of the day and let you discover the rest of them for yourself. Have fun!
So here are my two favorite shots:

The first one is of the temple from the attraction Indiana Jones adventure: The temple of the crystal skull, which is basically the same ride as Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland in California, except this time it's not the wrath of Mara, but the crystal skull. It's still an amazing ride, though I enjoy the one in California more, as I can't get my head around hearing Indiana Jones speak japanese.

The second picture is of the lighthouse at Cape Cop, a part of American waterfront. It's a small area with the theme of New England. It really did remind me of a small american waterfront town. And even though there weren't really any attractions in this part of the park it was my favorite spot, as it was really charming and quiet with only one restaurant and one shop.
So I spent the entire day in the park, which means I will have to go back at least one more time to visit Tokyo Disneyland :)
And I'm also trying to convince my girlfriend that we should go to either one of the parks when she comes to visit me after christmas.
But all in all a pretty darn good day.
I'll be back soon with more pictures, especially some from my residence as I promised some time ago.
